Hi all, well here's the news, got biopsy results today, and it's BC, the consultant shown me a picture of it on this computer screen, at first I didn't want to look at it,but got a bit brave...... it's a tiny white blob, an not so scary , first of all it's still small 2cm, caught early, and not been in me a long time, other positives i can't remember all the info he gave me BUT it wasn't all bad, I , already booked in for Pre-Op on Tues, ...Lumpectomy on Wed it's all happened so quick, so that's the first stage, it all sound very positive what's been told to me, an i will make a good recovery xx
The verdict is in!!: Hi all, well here... - My Breast Cancer ...
The verdict is in!!
Thanks for updating, I am sorry to hear its been confirmed but you sound positive and that's what you need to get you through.
I wish you well on this journey, and you know if there's anything you need to ask...someone here will be happy to help, between us I think we've experienced it all!!
Thank you for replying, I'm feeling a lot better, now I know what I'm feeling with, all your support is amazing xx
You're currently mirroring my journey, 2cm right breast, 1 1/2 left breast, diagnosed Thursday morning lumpectomies the following Wednesday, just think, this time next week it will have been removed from your body, and you'll be curled up at home resting, xxxx
Sorry that is is cancer, but like me it is early and small, that was me 3 years ago, assume it is ER+ type ? So you will have tablet treatment after your surgery and radiotherapy?
So that’s the good news it’s small no treatable, keep us all informed.
Take care Deb x
Thank you for replying, he said it's a hormone type one, an i tick all the boxes for some positive things, it's ductal something or other ,an i fit into an 80% category for the most common type x
Yes thought it must be ER + as other types you would have be having chemo.
Mine was ductal also.
Speak to the Nurse at your Follow Up Appointment & get her to go over all the details, mine were written down in the front of the booklet plus the following treatment.
I had what’s known as TNBC ~ Triple Negative Breast Cancer, l also had some DCIS’s ~ Ductal Carcinoma In Situ ~ but l also had the lump l discovered my self.
I had a Mastectomy followed by Chemo & that was three years ago, l’m going for my 3 year Review next month!
Hang on in there, you can do it!
We all did & here to tell the tale.
Best Wishes

So sorry hun that it's confirmed but again like the other women have said it's early so you are very lucky and all sounds positive. Mine too was early and initially after ultrasound and biopsy they thought if was 2.5cm and when they removed it they found it was only 1.7 so you never know. The worst part is over with the waiting and uncertainty and now you know for definite what you are dealing with so stay strong and positive and you have this. Best of luck . Xxx
Thank you for replying, yes now I definitely know, my lump has been measured at just over 2cm on the ultrasound, so like you it could be a bit smaller than they think, when I seen a picture of it yesterday , it looked tidy on the screen, he doesn't that it is in my lympnodes so I'm just hoping for radiotherapy treatment x
Hello ....i'm back from a very boozy festival ....i'm sorry i didn't get to answer but there was no signal where i was...
wow that's fast ....and great as soon you will be recovering and it will be finished ...i know its an operation but it really isn't that bad ...do your exercises and rest a bit ...i found it better to carry on and do things ...but that is just me ....be kind to yourself ....try not to worry keep us posted ...lots of love Jane xxx
Oh Jane thanks for replying, glad you a had a good weekend , yes Lumpectomy in the morning, I'm really nervous but all you fabulous ladies have reassured me it will be over before I know it...Hope so!! Had all my pr-op assessments done today all normal, didn't like my last app which was a injection in the nipple that was a bit intense, there was a group of us ladies all in a waiting room, we started chatting about whos got what size lump, who got what grade, oh it was so overwhelming, I came out and just cried in the car on the journey home, my poor husband just kept rubbing my leg, and saying it's gonna be Ok, you got to keep it together😣
I know i had that injection too .but i had it on the morning of the op ...i then had a 13 hour wait ...it was dreadful ...the op itself was ok ....this time tomorrow you will be home and that bit will be done, have you a nice film to watch in bed? ....you will be absolutely fine ...i bought a soft bra from Marks and spencer they have mastectomy bras ...but they are good to wear with your scar and you get vat reduction ....i used a small new sock folded up to cushion it to ....tomorrow use a button up top to wear as you wont want to raise your arm too much ...i was out of bed in a day ...i was bored ...and out walking ect within two days ...good luck ...ill keep and eye out for you on here .....stay calm and strong ..it will be worse for your hubby as he will be waiting for you .....lots of love Jane .xxx
Yes hubby is going to wait for me, he doesn't want to go home, so he gonna hang around the hospital....he will be fine, yes bought a couple of soft non wired bras so gonna take them both, I've got a lovely comfy bed which I adore ....can't beat a good memory foam mattress....lots to watch on Tele catch up on something! No doubt I will post something tomorrow, so a massive thank you for keeping me sane xxx Vicky
I sent my husband to the gym, he was with me until they called me through, we didn’t have a bed until after the Surgery, just a Waiting Room like at the Airport, so l thought the gym was the best place for him.
It’s so much harder on the other halves & your Children, my ‘Boys’ are fully grown men & it was really hard on them!
This time tomorrow it’ll all be over, try & sleep tonight if you can, easier said than done!
Best Wishes

Hi Jane just thought I would give you a little update, as you know my surgery was yesterday, it all went to plan no problems, but my recovery was a bit wobbly, I couldn't seem to shake of the morphine they had give me, I couldn't walk properly for hours afterwards , anyway the nurses let me go at 10.30pm last night, I was still a bit woozy but with my husband with me I was Ok, got home about 11pm, I am sore I'm not Going to lie, so I'm just in bed with a cushion resting in my armpit to take some of the discomfort away, I've been taking my pain relief as instructed an now just need to take it easy for a few days thanks for all your reassuring messages, you have been great support even though we have never met, I can tell that if we did, we would be friends .....speak soon .....Vicky xx😘
Hello ...Im so pleased your ok ...i was wondering how you got on ...you must feel so relieved....yep its all in the recovery now ...keep your pain relief topped up ...and enjoy getting pampered ...my husband isn't a great cook so i was eager to get cooking lol ,,,, onward and upward ,,,keep in touch lots of love Jane xxx
