For a few weeks now i tentatively imagined I was seeing new growth on my head. How could this be? I asked myself. I'm only 5 weeks from my last 6th chemotherapy treatment and the chemo hangs around for a bit, doesn't it? Well yes some of it does.
Well it's not my imagination!
There is definitely a smattering of very fine soft hair sticking up from my scalp, it actually catches the sunlight!! Wohoo!! πππ
Oh joy!! What a relief. It's true. It really does comeback! Even tho it's what I've been told and I see other new hair it was still hard to believe it would happen when in the thick of chemo.
WOHOO!!
It feels so good to have something tangible to give me the reassurance I so desperately need that this will all pass - yippee!!
Wishing everyone a good bank holidayπxx

Hi Eboracum thank you for this tip! I am reluctant but I think I understand that it's not going to be even as hair doesn't grow evenly - which doesn't usually show on a full head of hair. It is pretty grey! With some very dark bits. I was brown before but going grey (age 50) so I don't mind what it comes back as, just so damned pleased to be seeing it at all, π€£π€£. Looking forward to my first trip to the hairdresser ππ»ππ»π.

Hi trg3 well I am pleased to hear your hair started growing back so soon! It was very hard managing the hair loss wasnt it. Yes my scalp was sore in one particular area for a couple of weeks while shedding, luckily for me it wasn't vary painful. And yes certainly no idea what colour I will end up ππ.
Really well done with final EC chemo - another damn good feeling ay - and lots of luck with the rest of your treatment x
Mine came back very quickly and within a few months l had a thick mop of white curly hair. It was very thick and waistlength before the chemo and is back the same now.. only difference is its dyed lol x
