Had my last red devil yesterday!! I've been so lucky with it, relatively minimal side effects. So first stage over. Now a bit nervous about starting Taxol as I can't believe I can get off lightly with both types of treatment and my mother had horrendous side effects from Taxol although that was nearly 20 years ago now. Just need to get through the next three weeks without any issues and part two of chemo begins. Though I can't book anything while I'm undergoing treatment (insurance issues) I'm starting to plan a big holiday for the end of this year when I hope this will all be over...
Last red devil!: Had my last red devil... - My Breast Cancer ...
Last red devil!
There will be the usual side effects - they did mine the other way around. I had a shiny bald head for over a year lol. Kept me cool. I did likewise regarding the holiday and am heading to Bali next week then to Singapore where I will join a cruise to Vietnam, Bangkok and back to Singapore. Holiday of a lifetime and I can’t wait. All the best to you and 🍸🍹🍾here is to you getting on your big holiday xxxx
Thanks Lainey. I love the Far East! Have a lovely lovely holiday and tell us all about it when you get back! After all you have been through you deserve every moment of that holiday and more.
x
I hope you have a brilliant holiday, you deserved it.xx
Well done for getting through the first half of the treatment. The nice thing about the red devil is I drank and drank and drank after the last red devil until it was completely flushed from my system - very satisfying to see the last of the red wee!
You're almost half way done, hang on in there. I found the taxol different to the FEC bit but I got through it. Keep up the moisturiser, mouth hygiene etc and hopefully before you know it, the chemo will all be history. Good luck with the next couple of months. xxx Caroline
I found taxol a lot better than the FEC and had very few side effects. Other than neuropathy I can't recall having any others. Best wishes xx Lorraine
