Hi Lizzy, I would call your oncologist (if you aren't due to see them soon) I am on Tamoxifen and not had a period now since Oct 2016 when I started chemo - I went to see my oncologist in June and she tested my FSH level, follicle stimulating hormone. This was raised and she was concerned my periods may start again so I had another blood test in September when the level had gone down. If it had still been raised she had offered me either ovary removal or Zoladex injections (I would have gone for the ovary removal , I am 52 and no need for them anymore!) I am being tested again in December but I am guessing as I've not had a period , all will be fine.
Hi, I had my Cancer April 2013, started tamoxifen periods stopped straight away but then I had a period October for 4 days then again December 4 days I'm now into fourth year of tamoxifen haven't had anymore periods , I hope this is of help, take care stay well
I was only 47 when I started Tamoxifen my periods stopped but I found if I forgot to take it or took it later than normal I had a period type episode. My consultant sent me for bloods to keep a check on it but said it was probably because I had been pre-menapausal.
Hi my period also came back after a year i also was on tamoxifen and was pre menopause
And as my cancer was estrogen positive i was given the option of zoladex injections or ovary removal i went with the ovary removal. I am now three months on i am 47 but my thoughts were i would have to go thru it sooner or later, hope this helps i would get it checked out !!! Just when you think your finished x
