I used rescue cream or body cream but in chemo, nan passed on her emollient perscription left overs for red skins it did the trick but perfume lacking...more clinical. A friend gave me healthy hoof for the nails. Towards the last chemo session and beyond chemo nurses gave me Pliazon. District nurse recommended the udder cream but I never ran out of emollient. Thought my nails ok but one foot has three really poorly nails now three months post chemo inspite of all my efforts.

Hi Jack, this bit is tough, the waiting and unknown. When you get your first chemo under your belt you'll know what's coming next time. I used udder cream, as this was what I was recommended after my mastectomy. I think they advise you to use un perfumed as your skin can get a bit more sensitive when having chemo... The Udderly smooth one is cheap as chips on Amazon. if you're cold capping use mild perfume free shampoo and conditioner. I splurged and bought the Philip Kingsley one with no perfume or scent as knew I was saving loads for the next six months as no haircuts/hair dye and not much washing of hair... they support the look good feel better campaign I think...

Talking of that ..

If you haven't yet get yourself on one yet, they're fab and you meet lots of women at different stages of treatment plus you get a HUGE bag of goodies from all the best brands... was a lovely afternoon for me and made me feel loads better (think I had mine just after chemo finished) Link: lookgoodfeelbetter.co.uk

Keep busy, try not to overthink and good luck for tomorrow xx

Hi

I carried on using my clarins eau dynamisante , my skin was fine apart from my hands which developed horrrible blisters on them , I was prescribed some hydrocortisone for this and it cleared up. My feet around the edges of where the hard skin meets the soft became very sore towards the end of the treatment and nine months later they are still very cracked but not sore.

Aloe Vera cream from the health shop was recommended to me (breast care nurses) and it worked great . Good luck!
