Anastrozole

I wonder if anyone else gets awful migrane headaches ,been on this for 30 months oncoligist advised not to take it for a week and go back to see him ,just wondered if anyone else had this.

He can put you on Tamoxifen but apparently Anastrozole is a more powerful medicine with "just" one side effect: osteoporosis! I also read a medical article on the Internet which mentioned a combination of these two medicines so you could ask your oncologist about this possibility. Don't worry about ta king a break from Anastrozole. I had to take a break of about six weeks because my liver was "misbehaving"!

My GP thought I had liver cancer. I was taking at the same time as Anastrozole, Enalapril which is against high BP. The oncologist told me I shouldon't worry about the break. Anyway, I was glad when my blood tests showed my liver went back to normal.

I was on it for 11 years. Lots of side effects but thankfully not headaches. Hope you get the bottom of this. Good luck.

I am on Letrozole and haven't had headache problems so maybe your oncologist could switch you?
