Confused

Im 20 years old and me and my partner have been having sex for at least 5 days a week for a month, My period is late but pregnancy tests coming back invalid or negative, i've had problems with my periods all my life with them being irregular, i have never gotten pregnant before and im worried, i feel like there is something wrong with me, I have symptoms like gaining weight sore nipples and change in colour on the area any advice would be great.

I would call your doctor. They will be able to do tests. Have you been under stress or had a big change in life or diet?

Not really had issues with irregular periods for years worrying it might be more serious

There's definitely a possibility that you could be pregnant if you'd been having unprotected sex. How long has it been since you missed you AF? How regular were your periods so far? I don't intend to scare you but there are pregnancies that cannot be detected on HPT... it's rare but possible. The HCG forms other metabolites and is not eliminated as the HCG is supposed to be in urine when pregnant. The reagent on the HPT only reacts with HCG to give test line and not the metabolite. So, in spite of being pregnant, the HPT fails to detect pregnancy. The HCG levels, in that case, can only be measured accurately from blood-steam, for that, you'll require to take a beta test at some at doctor's clinic. I suggest even if it's possible that it is just a whimsical cycle and not pregnancy better not to take chances. The sooner you know for sure the better it is.
