Hi everyone,I’m very new here. I took my first pregnancy test Saturday for it to be positive, then just to double check I took another a little while later for another positive. I then took a 3rd test first thing Sunday morning for it to be positive again.
I went to the doctors today expecting them to do a pregnancy test again just to confirm that I was but they took my word that three tests are enough. I’m just saying it would’ve been nice for the doctor to run the test and say yes you are definitely pregnant. I’m not having many symptoms at the moment and also don’t know how far along I am cos I had a slight period 2nd May (3 days very light) whereas usually my periods are very heaving and 5 days. For the past 10 years I have had all the symptoms of endo but after 4 laps has never been diagnosed and my symptoms of endo have seemed to be a lot better. Could it be that I’m definitely preganant because I’m not sure why I just seem to be in shock and waiting for someone to tell me I’m not... sorry for the long post and thanks for reading

I’ve done the same as you and no, the doctors don’t do any test. But if you got 3 tests turn positive, then you’re pregnant. Congratulations! I’ve had endo for years too, though no laps, and I got pregnant after 1 year of trying. I was really shocked at first too. There’s nothing you can do now then just relax and wait for your 12 week scan and midwife appointments. If you have any bleeding or pain, go to A&E. I had some pain and I called 111, went to A&E who referred me to an early pregnancy unit who did some early scans and confirmed the baby was ok. But unless you have pain, you should just wait till the 12-week regular antenatal scan. Unfortunately some pregnancies do end in miscarriage, but I’ve been told endometriosis has no bad effect on the baby, so there’s no need to worry. Take your prenatal vitamins, get some rest, eat healthy and take care of yourself. I wouldn’t worry about that light period - it could have been implantation bleeding. If you have any additional bleeding from now on though, you should try calling 111 or going to A&E and let them know you’re pregnant and have had some bleeding. No one will do any additional test unless you get referred to an early pregnancy unit like I did, who will do a blood test and/or a scan.
