Im having a vaginal swab done tomorrow at the GP surgery. For some reason Im really nervous, I think its just the idea of getting myself out for someone else. Im hoping I can do the swab by myself.. but how will I know if I have done it right; is there any chance ill do it wrong if I do it myself?

They won't let you do it yourself as it has to be done in a certain way that your Dr or nurse are trained to do. You have to remember these people are professionals and have seen more than enough vaginas in their job that they don't really think about it anymore. It needs to be done and done right for accurate results. Especially if it's for a smear test. It's really not as bad as it seems
