I think it depends on your hormone levels mainly. I had symptoms and pretty much knew in my head that I was pregnant before I received a positive test result at 5 weeks pregnant. You can get a positive test result from the first day of a missed period however this does depend again on your beta HCG levels x

Hi There,

A pregnancy test is accurate 3 weeks after earliest sex you had, or if your period is later, shorter, lighter or doesn't come at all. It may have been you tested too soon, wait a few days and use the first pee of the day as it's the strongest. Good luck!

Well i had sex first on 9 dec then 10 dec ad 12 dec iv had no piriod yet this month ad my stomac is starting to hurt ad my boobs feel sore x

Hi There,

If you take a pregnancy test now, it should be accurate for the sex you had back in December. If this one is negative, wait a few days and repeat. Good luck, and I hope you get the outcome you want.

I finally came on my period that explains all the pains etc but don't normally get what had happened with me so early before I actually come on. Hope you find out soon and good luck x
