Shall I go to my doctors to work out when I ovulate?

I’ve had recently been trying for a baby, but my periods are very irregular. I had downloaded a app on my phone to monitor when my periods are due. (Which I’ve had no luck) In november I didn’t have a period at all and had sex on the 11th. I then started a period on the 1st of December. Which was fine, I thought I could try for a baby after the new year. I came on my period the 19th of jan.. But the whole of feb I haven’t come on. I took an ovulation test today 28th feb and it showed I was ovulating. Morale of the story and the question I’m basically trying to ask is.. is there something to be worried about? Shall I go to my doctors to actually work out when I am ovulating?

Keep a record of when you ovulate get Ovulation Predictor Kids The Cheap Ones Off Ebay they do just the same as expensive ones. You should ovulate round about same time each month.

Thank you for your reply. :) I have finally started my period today 02 March. So I’m guessing at some point between the 23rd of feb and the 28th of feb I was ovulating as I took 3 on the 28th and they all came back positive. I will now keep track after my period ends this time of when I am actually ovulating. X

Not everyone has a regular cycle. They class regular as every 28 days. Your ovulation day is generally 14 days before you come on. So if you count backwards from your first day of your last period that will give you an idea of what day you ovulated on and a idea of when to start testing . If your cycle is that irregular day 8/9 should be roughly when to start. A positive test 2 days before you period may be read wrong or detective test, as they say you can ovulate on different days each cycle but it's almost always 14 days between ovulation and your period. Ovulation tests also pick up pregnancy too. You always have a certain amount of the hormone in your wee so it may be this being detected. For a positive on an ovulation test they say needs to be darker than the test line.
