Hi there,
When it comes to menstruation after having a miscarriage, I honestly think it is different for everyone. When my sister miscarried last year, she was only about 5 weeks along, she had just barely found out that she was even pregnant. I was taking care of her. The period was very heavy and full of clots, but it was otherwise a pretty normal cycle right away. This second time, however, she has had a d & c. I don't know much about what to expect. The doctors say that she could bleed for a week or more, some people say it will only be a few days. But generally, it all boils down to exactly how the procedure was done and how it affected your individual body. You cannot expect to ovulate right away because you were 10 weeks along already. Even though your HCG might have dropped significantly by now, but it may still be high enough to still read positive if you took a test right now.. All I know is that It should at least take some time for the hormone level to fall before you can expect to get on a regular menstrual cycle again.
