Hey! Firstly congratulations! I know how super scary it is when you find out.

If you mean an ultrasound picture, they will only do an ultrasound at 12 weeks pregnant, unless something happens or you have a history of medical issues. There are many options and it's always good to talk them through with someone, if you phone your gp and book an appointment your doctor can give you all the options or a midwife can do the same, it's what they're there for.

I hope this helps. :)

BPAS will scan you to date your pregnancy if you are considering a termination. I wouldn't guarantee they can offer you a picture as most women going through their services would not want one. They will certainly talk through your options with you. If there is no BPAS centre near you, you can also speak with your GP or local health centre.

the first scan will be to see how far gone you are they will let you have a picture if there you are over about 12 week's because then they can get a good picture of a baby

Hi there

You will be treated with the utmost care at Bpas, if you let the nurse know as she’s doing the scan you will be able to keep a picture, as we know that helps some women make the decision that is right for them. I hope it goes ok.

Best wishes

Katherine
