I think I might be pregnant

Hey so I've had the implant(a small cylinder filled with hormones in your arm) for about 3 months now, I haven't had a period since I got it in. Its supposed to stop pregnancy however I have had tender boobs, nausea, tiredness, change in appetite (peas and meat make me feel sick). now I think I'm pregnant because me and my boyfriend had sex exactly one week after the incision(recommended time) and these things started happening a few weeks later. I'm 16 and I'm not sure what to do, I'm still in school and don't know how to talk to my mother or boyfriend or gp about this, any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there

Please try not to worry, if you definitely were not pregnant when it was put in (this is usually checked on insertion day?) then it is highly unlikely you are pregnant now.

Use this link to find a local young people’s clinic in your area and go and have a chat with them. They will be able to look and dates with you and ensure that everything is ok: nhs.uk/Service-Search/Sexua...

I hope this helps
