My wife is pregnant for 8 weeks and she noticed some tiny brownish spot couple of days back and now last day she could see blood spots about 5 times.. Is it something common or matter of worry?

Hi there

Spotting in the early stages of pregnancy can be common, it happens to around 1 in 5 women in the first trimester of pregnancy. However, spotting can also be a sign of miscarriage so if the bleeding does continue it might be an idea for your wife to pop in and see her GP just to make sure everything is okay with the pregnancy.

I hope this helps

Best wishes

Katherine
