Hi i would like to know can someone help me i had sex on the last day of my period last month and i am featuring an ovulating for the last few days plus i been having sex on them days my period is due in 3 days would there be a chance i could be pregnant

Hi Marie,

If you have been having unprotected sex then yes there is a chance that you could be pregnant so you should take a test if your period is late, lighter or shorter than normal. You can use some very sensitive pregnancy tests before your period is due such as ‘first response’ but unfortunately the results they would give wouldn’t be as accurate as if you wait until your period is due before testing – although I completely appreciate that you will be anxious to test as soon as possible. You can get tests for free from your GP or local contraceptive and sexual health clinic, you can find your nearest one here: fpa.org.uk/find-a-clinic .
