ive just turnt 15 and me and my ex boyfriend had unprotected sex and im not meant to have my period for a while but i have a few symptoms of being pregnant. im really nervous i am and i dont know who to turn too.what should i do?

Hi there,

I completely understand that you are nervous, but try not to panic too much if possible. The best thing to do is to wait and take a pregnancy test if your period is late. There are pregnancy tests you can take a few days before your period is due, but they are not as reliable, so if you can wait testing on the day of your missed period would give you a much more accurate result. You can get pregnancy tests for free from family planning /sexual health clinics and your GPs, although you can also buy them from pharmacies and even pound shops. If you are very anxious about taking the test, you could always pop down to your nearest Brook / young persons sexual health clinic. They could take the test with you and discuss the results with you, and also provide you with contraception for the future if you like.
