I’m sorry for you. It’s hit or miss I think! My husband had both on Saturday and he’s fine. Mine are on Thursday and I’m a little concerned. Feel better soon.

l hope you feel better soon. I’m having my flu vaccination on Saturday and covid a week later l was concerned about overloading my immune system by having them both together

Every time I have flu or Covid jab it gives me a bit of a lousy 18 hours but then feel safer having had them. I'm 80 and suffer very badly with Osteoporosis.

Thanks for your reply, I’m in my mid seventies and have severe osteoporosis. I’m thinking it’s not the flu/covid vaccine but something else as also have osteoarthritis…. Oh well tomorrow is another day

Sorry you have been feeling horrible. I have a friend who has awful headaches afterwards. I usually feel a bit flu-ey for a few hours afterwards but that's it. Who knows why some get it worse? I've read that it means your immune system is responding well to the vaccine but I don't know how much truth there is in that.

I had them both at same time and felt crappy for 2 1/2 days. It varies a lot.

Hmm

I'm doing mine 2-3 weeis apart

I went in for Covid vacc, then decided on RSV first cuz it's more contagious, and I have grand kids

1 days later I got Covid from my wife who just got home from a bike trip

Hope Paxlovid works well!!

PS I got influenza A twice once in June and 2 months later

Not sure the vaccine helped but I did get on tamiflu early so wasn't horrible

Commiserations, I am not taking any more of these vaccinations as every time I react badly. Had COVID 4 times to date so hope it I now have enough immunity and focussing on improving my immune system with nutrition as I come off immune suppressants which I have taken for 10 years.

Unfortunately, the immunity from a covid jab doesn't last, which is why we keep being offered them. So to think you've now had four so should have enough immunity built up may leave you vulnerable. Sorry you have to make such a difficult choice, CDreamer.

I had 6 COVID vaccines in total, got COVID x 4, the first time Feb 2020 with very mild symptoms, Omicron put me in hospital, 3/4 very mild. I am immune suppressed so my immune system just ended up being completely overwhelmed and I didn’t produce antibodies to COVID or the vaccine until after Omicron. I think there is still SO much to unpack with the MRNA vaccines that I decided the benefits don’t exceed the risks for me so until they bring out the nasal spray, I’m staying well away.

Poor you! I completely understand your decision and wish you all the best. Roll on the nasal spray!

Hi, sorry to hear that this has happened to you. I’m exactly the same. I had both Covid and Flu jabs last Friday. I was fine for 24 hours then I felt really poorly. Just picking up a bit now. Never had this before.
