Felt tired after infusions but they were so much better than having to take oral meds every week.

I had my first in November, felt like I was coming down with flu for a day or so over the next 2/3 days but otherwise perfectly fine. I was advised on here to drink plenty of water before, during, and for a few days after. Good luck.

I took Evenity for one year and had great increases in bone density as shown via Dexascan. Then had a Reclast infusion last week. Will have a new Dexascan in Dec. May you continue to do well.

Hello Lilact,

I have had one Zolodronic acid infusion in the last month. The infusion itself caused no issues. I had 3 or 4 days of mild muscle aches after it, but nothing to remark upon, nothing any more than what a workout might produce and that simple pain killers relieve.

My next Dexa is next month so maybe I can update you then in relation to scores. I plan to continue the infusions as long as they are offered to me. I hope you have a good experience with the infusion and with the treatment overall. In my view, I would rather take a chance with any side effects vs the pain and disability of vertebral fractures. My life has changed immeasurably due to 4 fractures and I would not wish that on anyone. You may have a chance to influence this part of your life by accepting treatment. You have my very best wishes to reach a decision that gives you the healthiest life.

Kind regards,

Emer

I've had only one infusion in October. No side effects so far. Hoping it starts to kick in soon as I have 9 compression fractures and don't want another one. Hoping some of these start to heal. Also had two vertebroplasties at L1, L2 done in September. These don't seem to have made a huge difference. OP Specialist says she doesn't want me to have anymore as the risk is that the vertebrae on either side of the plasties, could fracture. All the best to you.
