The reason I'm asking is because all my joints hurt and shin bones as well.

Does osteoporosis hurt
No. Unless there is a fracture, there is no sensory awareness of osteoporosis at all. However, it is fairly common to have both osteoporosis and osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis affects the joints rather than the bones and can have symptoms like you mention. Also, some osteoporosis medications can have similar side effects.
A lack of vitamin D3 can cause aching painful legs.
I've been taking d3/k2 for about a year now and my vitamin d level are normal 128 nmol/L
I did read that magnesium was needed for these to be optimum. Good luck.
I have started taking magnesium tablets and the doctor prescribed me calcium carbonate/D3 tablets I was already taking D3/k2 tablets and my vitamin d levels were normal 128 nmol/L.
I would have a Google of Calcium Carbonate if I was you. I just did. Bone and muscle pain are a possible side effect.
Just did thanks
I've been taking to much gaviscon and omeprazole that's what's probably cause it.
Ok, well antacid drugs like omeprazole stop you using your b12 or they deplete it somehow I can’t remember exactly but you are probably low in B12.
Had my B12 injection yesterday, I have them every 3 months
Some folk need the b12 injections much more often.
Try telling my doctor that, I've started taking b12 tablets see if that helps.
The ones that melt under your tongue are perhaps slightly better, that’s what I use. If I don’t take them regularly I can’t remember where I’ve parked the car at the supermarket 😵💫embarrassing! I don’t have a diagnosis but it’s in the family ( Pernicious Anemia) Are you on the site on here it’s very good. Lots self inject.
Never held of them, i' Google them.
These are the ones I take, Puretality B12 1000ug £11 on Amazon they taste nice.

Thanks 👍
Are you taking bisphosphonates?
I just googled them and I already have trouble with my esophagus, so I won't be asking the doctor for those.
No, only diagnosed Friday
Just asked because my bones ached when I did until then I had no aches or pain in my bones.
A lot people only find out they have osteoporosis when they fall or something happens and they and break a bone.
All my joint's hurt and my back and shins plus I get muscle cramps in my legs I don't know if I have spinal stenosis as well, my GP doesn't really explain things properly to me over the phone.
No only if you fracture. The pain could be anything, I have slight osteoarthritis in my neck but my aches and pains started after covid jab amongst other things!
fractures, arthritic changes and parathyroid gland issues are the normal causes of bone pain.
Paraglands are not same as the thyroid, just live near it but are a common cause of osteoporosis and should always be ruled out before any osteoporosis drugs.
You need to have calcium, vit d and parathyroid samples all taken from same blood draw to accurately assess their relationships and levels are what determines a diagnosis of hyperparathyroidism, this is treatable/curable allowing bones and body to start to heal
I had a vitamin d test a couple of weeks ago and it was normal 128 nmol/L
