It's why we're on this forum, after having a DEXA scan and being diagnosed with osteoporosis.

The Royal Osteoporosis Society has a fact sheet that explains the results. On their website theros.org.uk

Hello Sheilanagig

Looking at the ROS (Royal Osteoporosis Society) website and getting the fact sheet that explains the results is great advice.

But can I just add although many people are very much older than you are when they get a diagnoses of having Osteoporosis it is something that can effect all ages, but perhaps it's because of your decline and menopause symptoms etc. your doctor is just ruling out there is n't a problem with your bone health?

I had my first dexa scan aged 30 - and then one about 7-8 years later - I had problems with food absorption and was monitored with dexa scans to help check on my bone health. It wasn't for another 18 years that the scans showed I'd moved into the area of 'mild concern'.

Good Wishes

Hi! I’ve had two and am due another in July. It’s similar to a scan.
