What medication should I take?

I have told my doctor I am not having the next Prolia injection(only had one). What are the alternatives for me? Love to go natural but really don't want to break any more bones. I am taking a lot of natural therapy things(naturopath suggestions). I also go to exercise physiologist when back pain allows. Any ideas on medication?

It is apparently safe to discontinue Prolia after only one dose. Depending on your t-score you could well consider the natural means. There's a lot of good information now and more and more people have found they can improve their bones with diet, exercise and supplements. I think we do well because we are so motivated because it does take a bit of work.

After only two shots ppl are advised to go on another bone med before the next dose is due in order to avoid the possibility of rebound osteoporosis. What does your doctor say? The ROS should be able to help you find a way forward. You certainly are not alone.

It's important to do something because apparently rebound OP can become worse than the original condition.

Have your vitamin d levels checked maybe. Assuming you are deficient, there’s a good group on Face book calked VitaminD Deficiency - Open Discussion. There’s lots of info on their files. If you take D3, magnesium, vitamin K2 and boron in the appropriate relationships you stand the best chance of getting calcium into your bones. You don’t need calcium if you are eating a reasonable diet and taking D 3 as that increases the levels of the calcium you consume by some 400%. Lots of people say their aches and pains decrease when on this regime too. Good luck. I’m giving it a go.
