Alendronic acid by injection

Have been on several drugs since being diagnosed. Alendronic Acid in tablet form for several years. Have not been on any treatment now for the past year and my consultant has now advised me to go on Alendronic Acid injections,1 injection for three years. Am very reluctant about this in view of all the side effects. My recent bone density scan was quite reasonable but I have had several fractures and this is why the doctor wants me to go on this injection. If anybody is on this treatment would love to hear anything about it.

I take it you mean your consultant would like you to start a course of Zoledronic acid. I was not aware that Zoledronic acid had any more possible side effects than AA.
