Zolendronic Acid

Does anyone have experience of the infusion of Zolendronic Acid? I believe you have it once a year for 3 years and then stop. I am wondering about side effects

I didn't actually get any side effects handmaiden. I've had one infusion and my blood test results (I think for vitamin D) was so good, I was told my next one would be 18 months later. Previous to this, I'd taken Alendronic Acid for a few weeks followed by Risedronate for a couple of weeks/ bt had to stop due to bone pain.

Hi I have had 2 infusions with out any side effects . I had bad side effects with Aledronic Acid which is why they changed me to the infusions .

Thank you Bacardi, your experience is more encouragement for me! I couldn't tolerate the tablets either but was nervous of the infusion. The replies I have had are all very helpful so I will go ahead and have the infusion later this month.

I too had my first infusion a month ago, no side effects. Drink lots of water before & during the infusion and you'll be fine. Feel so much better now than when taking alendronic acid & then risedronate .

Those are the two tablets I tried as well. I have been told I have to drink water at the time so I will make sure I do that. Thank you for your reassuring reply.
