i went to the bone metabolic centre for the first time this week. had a scan of my hips and my spine. i then had to have xrays of my hips and spine. i then had to have blood tests and a urine sample taken.
It is four to six weeks to my results.
I have never fallen so I am unsure why I had to go here.
My endocrine doctor says my phosphorus is low.
i struggle to swallow without choking.
i self carhetrise once a day.
i use a wheelchair due to a chromosome disorder that causes weak and floppy muscles.
Sorry there have been no replies. Welcome to our community. Sounds like you are being well looked after. I note from another of your postings that you have been taking steroids for some time and this can cause thinning of the bones and as you mention your phosphorus level is low. Is this bone metabolic centre in Sheffield?
