One of our greatest needs is finding good professional help and understanding. Recently several people on this post have said we all need exercise classes to help our general bone health, so I am about to talk to a cancer centre in London to see if this is something that could be set up. If anyone is interested I shall be writing about it on ftercancers.com. N.B. This is NHS, so expect some delay!

Hi veriterc

Is that the correct website address that you will be writing on, if it ever comes to fruition? ;)

Just wanted to wish you all the best when you talk to a cancer centre based in London about possible bone health exercise classes. :)

Yes, I want to expand aftercancers.com

so that I can give us much sensible info (not medical) as I can. I find the NHS is short on common sense, can't see benefits of targeted exercise for us - but I can! So will be adding to info on my website; always keen if anyone else wants to add helpful info!

The link works now! In your initial posting you omitted the "a". :)

It's very interesting....your site. I wouldn't have thought of looking for info on bone health on a cancer site....I should have thought of it though as I am a radiotherapist so my whole job is about treating cancer patients! If you do put info about exercises for bone health on your site I would really appreciate if you could add some info about what is safe to do if you have severe osteoporosis. I'm 38 and am struggling as there is no info out there for someone my age.

Thanks - as usual, am waiting to see the hospital that contacted me; everyone seems to go 'off' work in August, let alone go on holiday! But come September I will be chasing!
