Hey everyone, my Dad has haemachromatosis, has been severely ill the last month. Had a scan done in October last year and all clear. Today he's been given 3-6 months. I need help to find amazing support and medical teams to prolong as much as we can. We want to fight, but the Liver Specialist wouldn't consider any therapy. Anything, anything you can think of please. We are in Brisbane, but we don't care how far we need to travel. We need him here.

New Diagnosis Liver Cancer
Hi,I am saddened to read about your dad. Don’t lose hope. My dear friend Lucy was diagnosed in 2015 and was not given the option for any type of treatment but, that quickly changed with all the research available. Have you tried University of Pennsylvania? They have many different types of treatments including Proton therapy, chemoembolization and immunotherapy. My friend was given less than 6 months and went on to live almost 5 years. Praying for your dad. 🙏
Hi, I would also encourage second opinions. When my husband was diagnosed with HCC he was also told locally that there was nothing that could be done. As Lucy1520 mentioned, we went to the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center and he had chemoembolization treatments that likely bought him several months. You need to find where they really focus on this illness and treatments. I don't have any recommendations on the natural front but maybe you will hear from some others who have suggestions. I wish you all the best at this frightening time!
