Alternative Natural BP meds

I would like to seek new alternative natural ways to lower my BP, as I'm getting too many side effects via conventional meds. I've been on meds for 17 yrs. Has anyone tried weening themselves off BP meds and tried combining Nattokinase and ramapril together?

1. If you put Nattokinase into the search box top left you’ll see what posters have said in the past about this.

2. Are you familiar with the charity Blood Pressure UK? Their website has some good hints and tips.

You may find that tweaking your diet helps. I did, and reduced my readings so that I reduced from 2 medications to one, and halved dose of the one.

But, if you see anywhere “take low fat options” - beware! If you buy low-fat, the manufacturer has probably added salt and maybe other things to make it palatable.

Hi, Hawthorne berry tea can lower blood pressure but I found going low carb reduced by blood pressure.

I'm in the US, and I am taking Nattokinase now. It's hard because you have to take it on an empty stomach. So far, there has been no improvement.

Natural ACE Inhibitors · 1) Garlic · 2) Whey Protein · 3) Casein · 4) Pycnogenol · 5) Pomegranate.

Personally I wouldn't dare wean myself off the Ramiplril I'm taking. Stroke runs in my family - including my beloved sister who had a massive one in 2021 & still wheelchair/ bed bound & cannot weight bear or pull herself up in bed. She was extremely fit and healthy at 8.5 stone (but 'didn't like taking medications'). Double whammy for my entire family there's also familial high cholesterol too so take prescribed medication, try to keep weight down, eat a healthy diet with plenty of fibre - and a beetroot capsule!
