I was on alodipine and the side effects were very bad so I was switiched to Lercanidipine as I have written in previous posts I am having some side effects on the lercanidipine but they are nowhere near as bad as what I experienced on Alodipine I have only been on them 4 weeks so am hoping the side effects go away over time the side effects are bouts of weakness and dizziness which are not constant but happen 2 to 3 times a day when I lay down for 30 minutes they go away so if you are offered Lercanidipine I would not be afraid to try them certainly no reflux in my case but what I am aiming for is to hopefully get off the medication and control the blood pressure with diet God Bless
Hernia op.went great. Thank you. Problems with me are BP meds.& side effects. Told by Consultant to stop all BP meds.& monitor. Also not to worry if BP goes up to 160/ 90.
Well, great for 3 days & then went over 160.Took 1.25mg.Bisoprolol as advised .Seems to help. Just that now HB goes to only 46bpm.quite often now.Woke up at 3.30am.gasping for breath. Took Bisoprolol & GTN spray.
Great to be off of Amlodipine. Pounding heartbeat stopped 24hrs.after stopping them.
I'm 73 so Consultant told me GPs must allow for old age & not try to get BP down to low levels.
All tests done & they say heart is OK.So,it must be medication causing symptoms. Difficult to breath. Achey sore chest.Palpitations.Anxiety.
Tight neck etc.
Maybe Angina hence GTN spray.
Refreshing to hear a Consultant actually saying that.
