Blood pressure medications that don’t cause reflux

I am on a combined dose of amlodipine (CCB) and candesartan (ARB), which has been working well for me.

Unfortunately, I have realised that amlodipine can cause reflux and other similar issues, which I have been experiencing in the past few months.

Just so I am prepared before talking to my doctor, are there any blood pressure medications that don’t have reflux etc. as a possible side effect?

I am unable to increase the candesartan dose because if I go to a higher dose I get urinary retention.

(I can’t take diuretics due to another condition, so those are ruled out. So are ARBs as they seem to potentially cause reflux too.)

Edited because I got my classes confused.

the best person to talk to would be your pharmacist, who can advise you (I hope) how to approach your doctor,

I was on alodipine and the side effects were very bad so I was switiched to Lercanidipine as I have written in previous posts I am having some side effects on the lercanidipine but they are nowhere near as bad as what I experienced on Alodipine I have only been on them 4 weeks so am hoping the side effects go away over time the side effects are bouts of weakness and dizziness which are not constant but happen 2 to 3 times a day when I lay down for 30 minutes they go away so if you are offered Lercanidipine I would not be afraid to try them certainly no reflux in my case but what I am aiming for is to hopefully get off the medication and control the blood pressure with diet God Bless

I found reducing my Amlodipine to 5 mg means my acid reflux is ok. Might be an option?
