I have been on 10mg lercandpine for 7 yrs with no problem. Female Then my BP increased after a TGA episode, so after the 12 hour monitor the doctor increased my dose to 20mg .
I felt the dose made me dizzy and lightheaded so I split the dose, 10mg in morning, 10mg at night , had monitor again , the doctor wanted to put me on more , I mentioned lightheadness so she put me on 2mg candesartan as well so I take candesartan at 1pm,
However my balance isn't great, my head is heavy and a bit of lightheadness.
I feel all these tablets are limiting my life fiercely , turning me into a zombie I would appreciate any help to improve my quality of life , I have holidays booked and thinking of cancelling as not confident in how I feel, thank you so much , E

it would be a good idea to talk this through, either with your doctor or with a pharmacist. If you are in the UK your doc’s group of surgeries probably employs a pharmacist and if you speak to them they will have access to your medical records
hello offaly1, your story almost mirrors mine!! Have been on lercanidipine 10 mg for past 5 yrs recently increased to 30mg , I have the exact same issues, so I also split the dosage, I am reluctant to change meds as it took ages to find one that's not too bad!! This one is the least worst of the three that I've been on! Maybe try to always have some food at the same time with the meds,
In my opinion it's very difficult to find a medication for bp that doesn't have some side effects, hope I'm wrong!! Chat to your GP again hopefully he/she might be able to help,
