I’m on ramp till and amlipodine but at my thyroid check they said it was high and looking at 3rd pill.

they don’t seem to care that my thyroid isn’t ideal and could be related

so any side affects etc taking a 3rd pill.

I’m not sure I understand your question. There is a thyroid group on health unlocked if you think this is a thyroid question, or you could ring the helpline of Blood Pressure UK, the specialist charity.

hi, you could try Lugol’s iodine to see if it helps. I put a couple of drops in my morning coffee. The only one I have on a carnivore way of eating.

They didn’t offer that just said theyd add a diuretic. My thyroid results aren’t good I think can affect bp

Yes, thyroid problems can cause high blood pressure and treating the thyroid condition can help normalize blood pressure.

Trying to tell my dr that they just give you more bp pills

I’m in the U.S. so idk how they do things in the UK, but I would see an endocrinologist and/or a doctor who specializes in HBP to confirm if the issue is thyroid related. Find a doctor who listens to you! That’s always step #1

Hi Thyroidmeg . If you are overmedicated on levo it can raise BP. This is what the clinician at my GP surgery said and he has reduced my levo dose slightly.I may be overmedicated so we'll see what happens to BP when my thyroid numbers are better, before adding any more BP pills. Currently on 10 mg lercanidipine but BP still slightly higher than optimal.

I don’t have a thyroid anymore my tsh is too high. Dr has increased my Levi from 200 to 225 and given me an extra blood pressure pill too

OK. Thyroid and BP are definitely linked but my clinician wants to work on getting thyroid numbers better as it gets a bit confusing when both medications are changed at once. Your vit D also looks a bit low for a thyroid patient. On the thyroid part of HU it's recommended that 100 is a better number to aim for. 41 is too low. I'm sure it would help with some symptoms if you can improve that result by self medicating. The Better You spray is recomnended.

Thanks I’ve starting self medicating on vitamin d as the doctor doesn’t care . They didn’t even want to test it but I was deficit t last time so I insisted .

Hopefully get the thyroid righ for metabolism as I want to Lose a lot of weight and not eating that much so I need thyroid to be right for many things inc bp

It’s hard before my total thyroidectomy o had energy and bp was ok . Fed up with it all
