I've a slightly pink face and have been prescribed Nifedipine even though my blood pressure wasnt tested by the doc. i've tested at home and indeed it's normal. would people here say it's ok to take this drug if my blood pressure is normal and if so should I!

I'd be inclined to ask your prescriber exactly why it is being prescribed for you.
I wouldn't like taking any unnecessary medications ,except for really good reason.
Out of pure nosiness, how do you measure your pinkness?
My African friends say we are all white faced, and they have difficulty telling us apart. It might be useful to give them a colour chart,??😝💚
Thanks for posting. The doc said it would dilate the vessels, i suppose the reasoning is sound, just seems quite a dramatic drug to prescribe. Out of 10, probably only a 2 in pinkness although it still affects my confidence, assuming i'm standing out and everyone is looking at this beacon of a head 😂😅😀😊🙂😐🤨😬😔😪😭

Hmm. It does sound quite full on, but it does seem to be a recognised treatment. I took it for pre eclampsia and even then the docs said it was a bit of an old fashioned blood pressure drug. I guess the doses are different. However, there are other options to treat rosacea, which it sounds like you might have, if you're not comfortable with drugs...
