I've had high blood pressure for about 15 years. Doctor told me it was due to my birth control (DEPO POVERA), being on it for to long. So I discontinued the DEPO and had my tubes tied instead. That was years ago and still today my blood pressure is high if I don't take benazepril ( 20mg daily) as prescribed. It would run about 145/88 - 152/98 . Then 8 weeks ago I had a ruptured brain aneurysm and had a coil placed. Now I'm required to keep blood pressure under 140/80 .which means taking my benazepril twice daily instead of only once.
