Here something that happened some 30 years ago, so no wonder I almost entirely forgot about it...

In those days, my mother in law had problems with high BP. Do not remember the exact data, but remember that she had seriously increased pressure. The GP has tried with all the possible medication, but with no success. She had heard from someone that the tea from olive leaves might help, so she tried that path. After some time, again I do not remember after how long, she went to the GP and her BP was measured. The Dr was surprised that her BP was much lower and, what I do remember, the Dr was surprised that her diastolic pressure went down, what, according to the Dr, was very hard to achieve.

I wish, I could tell you more, but it may be worth experimenting. If nothing else, it is natural and, with the apparent shortage of medication, it might help to someone.

Wishing you all the best! P.

Following your advise from earlier, I stopped measuring my BP since a few months.

Knowing how often and how sharply BP changes during the day, it makes no sense to measure it and to try to understand the results. Even the MDs should be aware that the BP results are hard to interpret in the right way. For instance, I see that people often grumble about high HR, accompanied with low BP. Such combination is a direct sign of poor heart function (poor valve condition, wrong working regime (maybe ventricular tachycardia), etc.).

Also, I have adopted that "how I feel", is the only right sign of body condition. It is little probable to feel OK and to be in health problems, and vice versa. In one of my comments, I have quoted my friend, who said to feel quite well at BP 180/120. Now, I am in similar position - I know that my BP is high, but I feel well. I suppose, that my body knows what it's doing, better than the side interested in selling drugs.
