Did she say she wasn't going to take medication for it? I didn't hear her say that.

peter999999999 in reply to

no but also she did not say she was,

in reply topeter999999999

Then you can't assume she didn't take medication. Considering she is a medical professional she is unlikely to ignore her high BP. I would think it's a given that she would take treatment for it.

peter999999999 profile image
peter999999999 in reply to

she stated it was because she was fat, they tell you at the end of the program what the treatment has achirved for everyone, there was no mention of the doc having taken anything so its fair to asume she did not have treatment, but who knows,

in reply topeter999999999

They say at the end what the outcome for the patients was. Just because the doctor wasn't mentioned doesn't mean she doesn't take anything. Does it say when one of the doctors takes something for a headache? No. It's not at all fair to assume she had no treatment, as an educated person she is unlikely to take no treatment.

her treatment would be to lose weight as she said it was because she was fat, thats better than taking a pill it would not make her fat go away, she knew she was overweight , who in there right minds would take a pill with all the side effects when all she needed to do as she said lose the flab, but i no a lot who rather not do exercise, diet and wonder why they are on pills for everything, we will never no what she does though unless it comes up again so its no use asuming anything, my doc told me to not drink vodka, i told him my dad was on the russian front at stalingrad ww2 a officer in russian army drank a bottle of vodka a day, doc said i bet he did not live long drinking that, i said he died 2 years ago at 106 that shut him up,lol

in reply topeter999999999

Well considering she is a medical professional, she is well educated, and considering the way you spell and punctuate, you are not well educated, I'm sure she will do the correct, sensible thing and take medication rather than ignore it as you favour.

I don’t understand why you felt the need to be rude to Peter ?

Dovedale4 in reply toJulieclev08

I agree. It was a very personal comment and totally unnecessary!

in reply toDovedale4

It's a good thing it's none of your business then.

Dovedale4 profile image
Dovedale4 in reply to

It absolutely is my business since I am a member of this forum too! The forum is for those seeking support for high blood pressure and not exclusively for those taking antihypertensive medication. There have been many posts on here from people looking to reduce their blood pressure naturally and Peter is one of them. Your very personal comments about him are offensive and not in the spirit of the board which is all about inclusivity.

in reply toDovedale4

How about you get off your high horse and get a life of your own? Just a bit of advice that it would do you well to take.

Totally unnecessary to respond to posts in that manner. Everyone has an opinion and members of the forum should respect that .

Awwww

in reply toJulieclev08

It doesn't involve you so I don't know why you are commenting.

It’s a forum 🤷‍♀️

in reply toJulieclev08

No!!!!!! Well I never!

in reply to

I'm not sure you can logically reach that conclusion. If she is all those things you stated (she is, no argument from me), then she shouldn't be overweight and have untreated high blood pressure.

thank you, very nice of you to say that.

thank you for your support,i think her comments say more about her.he than myself, i only try to help people realise there are sometimes other ways to control bp without pills in a lot of cases.

in reply topeter999999999

Giving advice like that is very dangerous, unless you are medically qualified. It's obvious that you are not. You would be wise to stop your one man crusade against BP medicines.

I don’t understand were your anger is coming from ? Peter has always been in this forum and has always said the medication made him miserable so he decided to go down a different route .He has since found going down a different route has made a difference which he prefers. He’s not on a one man crusade in my opinion and I come on here to read all peoples experiences and how they handle it .We are all grown ups on here and surely all wanting the best for each other with this condition.I don’t understand why you got rude and personal with him

in reply toJulieclev08

I'm not angry dear

Peter I have had high blood pressure for 2 years in that time I’ve been on all kind of blood pressure tablets .I don’t like taking them and got side effects on some of them .I do believe it is personally to do with my weight as when I lost half a stone my blood pressure came down .i totally understand why you would think the way you did after watching show .I just struggle to lose the weight 😂

peter999999999 profile image
peter999999999 in reply toJulieclev08

yes its very hard to lose the weight, easy to put on though, i found if i tried to starve myself that did not work but eating a bit less and slowely walking helped, start walking 5 mins in a straight line that takes 10 mins you have to get back lol, and slowely increase the time a min a day. where if you start for 30 mins you get tired and wont do it again, i also found slow steady breatning 15 mins a day ,3 times a day calming, 4 secs in 6 out but normal breaths or 3 and 5 or what is easy as long as the outs longer. i found slimfast shakes good for 1 meal, then steamed fish and veg nearly everyday helped a lot and a bag of crisps.extra virgin olive oil, turmeric and olive leaf extract all help bp and you never ache or get flu bad,

Hi Peter, we all differ and I for one am embracing my medications as they have made such a difference - down from 180/110 to 124/75 on average but I recognise that they may not be for everyone. I'm lucky as I have no real noticeable side effects from them. I'm 55 and I'm currently trying to support my 85 year old Dad with BP of 143/83 who is resisting medication as they make him feel ill and to be fair I'm not sure he needs them. All power to you for living your life the best way you can and I hope you get many more years to come. I support the stance you have taken as you believe it right for you. We all have a choice. I'm also sure a lot of my BP improvement is not just down to the meds but down to me losing two stone in weight, watching my diet and walking. We might not always agree about the meds but I congratulate you for standing your ground and not being rude about it (unlike the recent poster!).

All my very best to you.. enjoy and live your life to the full, and keep posting.
