I wanted to ask if anyone had tried Ashwagandha to reduce anxiety / hypertension as I read these were two of the benefits from the supplement.
I try my best now to check my BP once a week max (having checked multiple times daily when first diagnosed). However, I feel so anxious a few hours before checking and get really high first 2 -3 readings (which i ignore).
I have generally found my anxiety rising over the last year also.
After the first few readings, they then settle down to around 135/85 at home.
So any advice on Ashwagandha as a supplement to try to reduce anxiety / stress / hypertension?

Hi Spr123. I had a quick look back at your earlier post. You’re clearly well on your way to getting in control of your hypertension but it’s taking a little while to control the associated anxiety. I’ve not, personally, tried any pills to keep the anxiety under control so I can’t answer your specific question, but I would refer you to the website of Blood Pressure UK which has a lot of helpful guidance.
Thank you. Yes blood pressure seems in control, I have tried to stop checking as regularly now but sometimes feel anxious especially after a meal out or night out with friends thinking... I wonder what my BP is right now!
