Hot feet bulging veins

I am on amiodipine and have bulging veins and hot feet is this normal. HVe

Has anyone else have this It was the same on a arb medication for me also

Hi Hps. The hot feet could be a side effect with Amlodipine (have you checked the leaflet in the box under side effects?), but bulging veins you really do need to speak to your GP about. Good luck. x

I was on that medication and I could feel my feet swelling up and my legs .It was a wierd feeling but yes I’d say it’s the medication x

Amlodipine has always made my veins bulge. It's very noticeable on the backs of my hands (sometimes they seem double in width!) and strangely enough, in my left calf only (which I injured many years ago). And both my hands and feet get unusually warm (cures my Raynaud's problem completely - google Raynaud's syndrome), and my eyes often feel rather hot. It's obvious why, as amlodipine is intended to widen veins to lower blood pressure, but a little too much and the widening is sometimes alarmingly visible - but possibly not an unusual or urgent issue. Since amlodipine has a very long half-life (time for 50% of it to clear out of your system), it can build up in your blood. Discuss with your doctor about perhaps skipping a day now and then, or lowering your dosage.
