Do you check your blood pressure yourself
I take my blood pressure about once a week, or, if I feel unwell, dizzy etc I take it then. I use a digital wrist monitor and take it in the morning, before I get up taking meds, breakfast or tea or coffee, so that I know how I am doing regarding the overall reduction in bp at the end of the 24hr period. I then have a record of the readings when I make my annual visit to the specialist, should she ask about them.
I have done in the past, and I have 2 BP machines, but it's such a faff putting the batteries in them. I have RA so my hands are painful, but my medics check my BP monthly because of all my health problems and I store the results on my iPad for comparison.
I do. I use an Omron device. My BP is slightly high but my GP is ok with it. D
Usually daily by digital machine since a hypertensive crisis last year. I used to have an aversion to my BP being taken and didn't take it for many years until I ended up in hospital with 270/150. Now it doesn't bother me and whilst on my plethora of BP meds it is now well controlled and in normal range most of the time.
I seem to remember from previous posts you have ultra high BP which you have struggled to control? How is it now and have you had any further diagnosis?
I take it three times a week on my digital machine.
