New to Ramapril

Hello

I had slightly raised Bp.

After a few years on water tablets my Bp was still a tad too high (about 147/80) and i found the increased frequency going to the loo disruptive. So last week my GP changed me to 2.5mg Ramapril. My Bp went up a bit, not down, and i have had terrible headaches at the base of my skull for a few days which have woken me up and after that a couple of nosebleeds. Can’t get GP appointment for two weeks. Wondering if I should stop Ramapril and resume water tablets.

Are my headaches coincidence or a reaction to the Ramapril?

Any pointers would ease my mind.
