Blood pressure readings

Good Morning. i have just been to the nurse to check my bp again. I took my bp at home before the appt which was 140/85. I always take it on my left arm. The nurse took it on my right arm and it was 148/91. She took it 3 times straight after each reading when I had read that you should leave 3min gap between readings to allow the pressure to drop properly. She took one reading with my machine which was the same make as they use and it came back within their limits. I am not surprised my reading was higher there as i do have white coat syndrome but am now worried as to how accurate my machine is!
