My systolic pressure has been really high. My friends a nurse and she took my pressure. It was insanely high at 286/230. My systolic pressure has always been a problem and is usually 210. I have been on 8 pressure pills. I know my systolic pressure is up when my veins become much more distended than usual. During a pre performance exam my pressure was taken with a digital device. 246/152.

Hi Sphygmogirl, it’s to be hoped that you lift weights having sought professional advice about the advisability of this. You do appear to have severe hypertension which would make me wonder about how sensible this is as a sporting activity in your case. Do be careful and take action on any professional advice given. Best wishes.
