I’m thinking of getting a home bp monitor. There are so many to choose from - I don’t know where to start! I think an arm cuff style would be better. Does anyone have any ideas?

I got an Omron M2 basic which has an arm cuff. Its easy to use and is similar to the one used by my GP.
I use Boots own brand upper arm. Meets with dr's. approval! Watch out for Boots special offers. Nothing against Omron m2 just don't know anything about it.
I tried 3 BP meters, before I came to the one I stick to. What I've learnt is the wrist ones are pretty inconsistent, the upper arm ones are much more accurate. but you have to use them strictly as per the instructions printed on the cuff to get results that are correct i.e. keeping the hand so its at the same level as the heart, not moving the arm around, and tightening the cuff properly.
I'm in India, and the one I use is Omron HEM8712 (bought for Rs 1700) for the past 3 years. Its still measuring well, and one set of batteries lasts me 6 months. Happy with it. Now, Omron sells a similar one here HEM7120 with 5 years warranty for Indian Rs 2100. which I think is a good deal.
Your mileage may vary, so suggest asking your doctor what he recommends and trying out the one you choose to go for. Good luck.
