Hi everyone, It has been interesting reading your posts. My blood pressure became unstable at the end of May and when I saw my doctor, she wanted to start medication. Before I go down that track, I have consulted with a Naturopath who is working at stabilizing this. My highest reading was 183/115 - this has slowly come down to 143/103 which I am very happy with so far. Has anyone else here tried the natural way and was it successful? Blessings Mina

well done .... going down the right way ,,,, stay posative
Good for you Wilhemina. I'd recommend Dr Carolyn Dean's book, 'Invisible Minerals, Part 1. Another of her books is, 'The Magnesium Miracle'.
It seems that most of us are deficient in magnesium and other essential minerals owing to diminished amounts in the soil.
I've been taking magnesium citrate powder (better absorbed apparently) for a few weeks now, have never felt so relaxed and have also been able to drastically reduce medication. It turns out the meds for high BP deplete magnesium and actually cause high BP.
I was on two types of medication, one of which was Amiodipine, and found this caused unpleasant side effects, including high anxiety.
Hi is the citrate powder better than the tablet. How much do you take. Do dissolve it in water. I've been taking the tablets but they haven't worked for me. Would love to get off the bp meds
Best to start slowly with half a teaspoon daily and increase to two teaspoons (4g) dissolved in warm water.
I should add that I also take Bional Garlic, Olive Leaf & Hawthorn for vascular health and am vigilant about monitoring my own BP.
