Thanks to everyone. Gained valuable info re various drugs in use. Went to GP yesterday and as a result changed from seretide which made me cough to salmeterol. I will let you know if it has made a difference.

hi am a newbie moderate copd 63 yr female.i am on seritide.pleaz tell me if the new 1 works .ive bin getting a lot of burning in my left sholder blade left chest .av bin told it could be my hitus hernia and new gp sent a referall of for me o go 9 april thameside

This is not a new drug you've been given. Salmetarol is one of 2 components of Seretide. The other is Fluticasone. It may be the doc has decided the Fluticasone is the part that is causing you problems.
