Beautiful Hun, The Colours are Vibrant, Perfect. I have enjoyed all my Blooms, They bloomed much better than I thought. Now with the Heat they are starting to show signs of tiredness. I will revive them with some food and a bit more water. Carry on with your green Fingers. Love Carolina XXX

I got some dahlias from there too, various colours, they seem to have flowered early this year.

Wilko's is a great shop for us gardeners. I got most of my vegetable seeds there at the end of the season last year. All less than half price and I'm getting some good results. Watering has been hard work, obviously, because of the weather but my husband has been helping with that. We have to use watering cans, allotment rules forbid hoses or mechanical pumps of any kind.

I do a lot of sitting resting between each watering can full. The plus side of that is getting to see some fascinating wildlife behaviour. Bees that roll over and over in the squash flowers (first time I saw this I thought the bee was ill!), from there they struggle to fly up to one of the biggest squash leaves then, hanging on by their front feet for balance, they wash the pollen back off. Eventually they fly away leaving a yellow pollen patch on the leaf.

I love dahlias and have managed to keep a few for several years. Last year I bought some dahlia seed in the Wilko end of season sale and I’ve managed to raise about 50 plants. They are everywhere. I’m hoping to overwinter them in the shed to add to my collection. Gardening is the best therapy for me. Thanks for sharing.

hiya roysieboy like yourself I have emphasiemia and c.o.p.d. but mines advanced and like you I seem to find myself in the garden a lot now liking your dahlia. ive bought some seeds off amazon rainbow flowers look them up im going to try and grow them for next year if they are successful I`ll upload some photos of them. keep growing an planting Roysieboy

Greetings. If u look on utube they show u how to do it . I did mine at the end of August last year and kept them planted in a pot and checked on them during the winter. It’s worth a try if like that sort of thing. A challenge. I am going to try some cuttings of the one in the picture. Maybe lucky. Best wishes. 👍🤓
