Hi everyone,

I’m a 30 year old female with an autoimmune disease, asthma & COPD. I stumbled on to the forum after being sick for the last 5 weeks (pneumonia, infections) & being given prednisone. It’s a drug I dislike & have put off taking due to the side effects. Google pulled up a few posts on the topic & I decided to join.

I’m an only child, & work in entertainment. Look forward to getting to know you.

Warm regards,

Jay

Hello, sorry to hear you've been so poorly. I've had pneumonia I know how horrendous it makes you feel. Rest is what's needed it's the best cure.

I also have asthma although when I'm well it's pretty controlled. Few other things too wrong but always try and look on the bright side.

Everyone is very friendly and there's always great advice on here too your bound to find some tips.

In the meantime drink water like crazy and get plenty of rest to get over your infections.

Welcome to the group DTLAgirl . None of us like the old prednisolone but it does have it's uses. I hope you're feeling better after your bout of pneumonia and remember to take things easy for a while. Sheila x

Hi Jay,

I’ve had asthma since childhood and was diagnosed with COPD and Bronchiectasis back in 2013 when I was 37.

I totally understand where you’re coming from as I’ve taken a lot of Prednisolone over the years for my chest infections, and it gave me diabetes. So I don’t blame you for avoiding it. If only I’d realised how bad the side effects could be I might have done the same. Too late now though.

Anyway, hope you enjoy this forum. Lots of friendly and experienced people here.

Kind regards

Symes x
