Cosmetic tattoo and aspirin

This may seem a minor concern but to me affects my self esteem! I had a HA a year ago and am on aspirin for Life and I have just finished taking Clopidogrel. I am wanting to get my eyebrows redone by cosmetic tattoo but am concerned about doing this while taking aspirin. Anyone had this done while taking aspirin and had no problems with healing.?

hmmmm. I haven’t, but understand your concern. The tattooist might know (er ….). What about getting professionally coloured? Lasts for a few weeks.

When I got bald through chemo that included losing my eyebrows. I bought a kit from Boots (I think) where I got a template and some colouring a bit like a blusher. I put it on with a brush.

Hope you find a solution

Hi Happyrosie. I’ve been on aspirin ever since the STEMI etc in 2015. I regularly get my eyebrows micro bladed with no problems whatsoever.

Hi I wanted this and am on Warfarin, (for Life) plus I was on Aspirin for one Year as well after having a Bypass. I was told by the Beauty Salon that it was a definite 'No-No' for me. The risk of prolonged bleeding and bruising was just too much. A 'Good' Licensed Tatooist/Beauty Salon would tell you this. There are many on the High Street that are not even Licensed!!! I bought some later on to do myself, from Boots!!

I had an MI, and was stented. I too was on clopidogrel and take aspirin daily. Had my eyebrows done no problem. If I was still on clopidogrel or warfarin no tattooist or microblader would have touched me

Give it time for the clopidogrel to be right out of your system. Not sure how long that is.

Hi, I'm in a similar situation. I've had my eyebrows dyed for years, but they are now too sparse to dye as it accentuates the gaps and makes them look even worse. I would love to have them cosmetically tattooed, but I'm on Apixaban and am severely immunosuppressed, so the risk of infection possibly outweighs the risk of bleeding.

I'm currently using a brush-on eyebrow powder from Tropic which is great and much better than a pencil, for me. I'd still love to have something permanent though!
