ectopic beat pain

hi, I have had ectopic beats for as long as I can remember and they have always felt like a dull thud. I had a pacemaker fitted for sick sinus about a month ago and since then I have been experiencing a periodic short stab in the breast bone which I think are the ectopic beats as they feel the same apart from the actual sensation, if that makes sense.

Has anyone else noticed a similar change or know what else they could be? I did wonder if it was the pm kicking in to start with but they are not accompanied by the programmed increase in heart rate.

Many thanks
