Increasing dose of Entresto

I had HF last June and eventually put on Entresto dose of 24/26. Yesterday saw Cardiologist and he suggested increasing dose to 49/51. My EF is unchanged at 40% and BP 120/60. Overall I feel well for my age.at 86. I turned down the offer and he said he would not push me.

This morning walked some 2 miles, with hills and felt very tired Did I make a mistake? Would appreciate any thoughts. Thank you

Lots of things to be taken into account by you - as we dont know you.

If the walk was more strenuous or longer than usual

If you are used to walking

If the tiredness was exceptional

If you had had a meal before walking

If you were well hydrated

If your other blood tests were normal (e.g. iron level just as an example).

Just think it through, talk to someone who knows you if possible.

My Thoughts - At 86, you walked 2 Miles plus Up Hills. Entresto or not, I think you are doing 'Wonderfully Well and Good For You'. I think that's Brilliant 😀 😊 Well Done!

well done. My cardiologist said for me to try upping it also, alas I couldn’t tolerate it. I would like to know what the advantage is with increasing it. Even if we were to go off it.p
