Cough from Entresto

Why does Entresto cause a cough? Have been on middle dose for 10 days and the cough will not lessen. My doc says a cough is not a side affect 🥴

Hello. I take Entresto and also cough. Its a dry cough, a sort of tickly throat sensation. Cardiologist says its the Entresto....bit like Ramipril cough. The cough is not intrusive into my life, its a minor nuisance compared with the great benefit I've had from taking the drug. Look on the leaflet in the box and you will see 'cough' listed as one of the side effects!! Hope it doesn't bother you too much, but as always, if you are worried it may be something else, contact your GP or HF nurse (if you have one).

My consultant swapped Ramipril for Entresto for me because I had a terrible cough. 2 weeks after I started Entresto the cough was gone.

I had a terrible cough from Entresto and had some swelling in the mouth. Discontinued Entresto about 2 weeks ago. Cough stopped in about 24 hours. My cardiologist says cough is a side effect of Entresto. Will be starting an alternate medication after cardiology appointment.
